As ecologists, we need to engage the public regarding environmental problems and the importance of scientific research. I am committed to the dissemination of scientific advancements through the media and public talks.
Exploring story maps for species conservation
We developed a Story map using ESRI technology to describe the Species Protection Index (SPI), a global biodiversity indicator that assesses how much of a species’s range falls in a protected area or other effective area-based conservation measures. SPI as well as other biodiversity indicators in Map of Life helps us monitor biodiversity status and trends at global and national scales in support of the Global Biodiversity Framework from the Convention of Biological Diversity
